Release Date: June 14th, 2016

Sara Adams awakes blind, unable to remember the most basic details of her life, but her darkness seems a blessing when she discovers the terrors of The Light.

Stella Montgomery investigates the news on the mean streets of Detroit, where she’s noticed a disturbing trend: young women are vanishing. When her best friend disappears, Stella investigates—despite warnings from her police detective boyfriend—following a twisted trail that leads her through the city’s most dangerous and forsaken precincts. There she uncovers something more sinister than she could have imagined: a shadowy organization known as The Light, led by the enigmatic Father Gabriel.

As Sara struggles to understand her place in the strange world she’s awakened to—an oppressive cult demanding unquestioning obedience—and her feelings for Jacob, the husband she can’t recall and whose harsh and tender attentions confuse and beguile her, Stella risks all to discover the truth. But enlightenment always comes with a price…

Holy smokes! I think I forgot how this woman can write seriously great suspenseful stories! I swear, its a complete art form to be able to contrive a story as deep and well-researched as this and truly pull it off flawlessly, leaving the reader with a slack jaw and pounding heart! Aleatha Romig did it with Anthony/Claire in Truth/Consequences and she's done it again here!

I refuse to give away plot in this review. Venture in blind and take things as they come. The reader will try to put the story together but nothing is truly as it seemed for me. A large part of this story takes place in Detroit, amidst everything crime and corruption. Living outside of Detroit, I was astounded how well the author did her research of the area, the neighborhoods, the streets, etc. That was truly well done.

Into The Light follows alongside two stories. One filled with a crime suspense and the other alongside a mysterious cult following. Until both worlds collide, the reader will find themselves attached to this book till the bitter end... a very cliffhanger end.

Off to read the second installment in this duet, Away From The Dark.
