Emily Wayborn has made a decision.

She might not fully trust handsome and deadly Reeve Sallis, but he is the one person that gives her what she needs. With Reeve she can finally be herself. Submitting to him is the only thing keeping her grounded as the rest of her life falls apart. But the hotelier is a master at keeping secrets and as she continues her quest for answers someone is making sure she doesn’t find them.

Time is running out and she is questioning everything she thought she knew about friendship and love. She must now make an impossible choice that will determine if she will survive with her heart…or at all.

When this baby landed onto my Kindle back in April, I literally did a little jig across my room because holy motha of highly anticipated reads was I dying for this one!! Needless to say that I finished this entire read in one sitting because we all want our answers, don't we? And the Last Kiss right here did just that and rather mind-blowingly.

So I had to re-read the last two chapters of First Touch to refresh my memory of the characters in play. Let's admit- no one could forget that motha of all cliffy ending we had there. The book kicks off exactly where the first left off, the re-appearance of Amber at Reeve & Emily's doorstep. And let's not forget the revelation that we had slightly before that where Emily discovered that Reeve knew what she's been up to all along.

Now with Amber back and barely alive, what does this mean for our sexy couple? Where has Amber been all along? Will Reeve be able to trust Emily now? Will Reeve's Greek mob uncle come for revenge?

So many burning questions. And thy shall get them all answered when you finished this amazing read.

Definitely not giving away any kind of spoilers but boy let me tell you, I was literally at the edge of my bed as I flew through this read. Amber's presence definitely is a game-changer in the story which will keep you guessing and having second thoughts about well...everything. Especially when it comes to Reeve and his true intentions. I had my guesses and hunches but then a curveball gets thrown in and I have my doubts all over again. Laurelin Paige surely knows how to throw her readers off when you think you have it figured out already.

Similar to the first one, this book continues to be deliciously sexy and scorching hot in the erotica department. Plus, there's a whole lot of suspense with finding out the truth behind the events leading up to Amber's disappearance and the dead bodies that keep piling up. Speaking of villians, Reeve's mob uncle surely gave me the heebie jeebies with his scarily chilling manner. The author also did a great job with delving deeper into the Amber/Emily friendship and flashbacks of their past which led to their eventual fallout.

Overall this read was definitely worth the wait. The deceptions, the true intention behind the events that unfolded and everything that led up to that singular moment of truth; I mean, holy wow it just came together cleverly at the end. I even read the last chapter TWICE because I was simply amazed by it all. My only wish is that we could have gotten an epilogue for this read to depict the events thereafter, I wanted more!

Laurelin Paige

NY Times & USA Today Bestselling author Laurelin Paige is a sucker for a good romance and gets giddy anytime there’s kissing, much to the embarrassment of her three daughters. Her husband doesn’t seem to complain, however. When she isn’t reading or writing sexy stories, she’s probably singing, watching Game of Thrones and the Walking Dead, or dreaming of Michael Fassbender. She is represented by Rebecca Friedman and Friedman Literary.
