Early sleep-deprived yet spoiler-free review...

“Someday you’ll understand. Someday you’ll fall in love and it will brand your heart forever. And if life keeps you apart, you may invite others into your heart, but it will never truly be theirs. One stamp. One person.”
My apologies if this review sounds "blonder" than my normal but after staying up till 5am to finish this book, I must get it out there. One word of advice- Read. This. Trilogy. I guess that's three words but again, sleep-deprivation! Second word of advice- watch those reviews. There's a lot of very spoiler-ridden reviews out there. This is a trickle-fed plot so don't have it ruined by someone basically giving you a play-by-play of each book and calling it a review. Go in blind. Enjoy the ride....

I always find reviewing the third book in any trilogy a bit difficult as I don't want to give away anything from even two books back so I'll just roll with it and see how it sticks...

Jewel E Ann captured my interest in Only Trick and completely won me over me in Undeniably You. This author has the insane ability to create such relatable characters who have real-life issues (and flaws) that make you feel like you've known each of them your entire life. Her combination of witty dialogue, descriptive writing, swoon-worthy romanticism and laugh-out-loud humor attaches you to her characters and their story 100 percent. It's a show-not-tell gift she has and it's not easily done. She certainly didn't fail me in this Jack & Jill Series either.

So what exactly is the Jack & Jill series? I guess I'd label it romantic suspense with a bit of a dark and humorous twist. The plotline gets deeper and deeper as we travel further into the history of Jackson and Jillian Knight. In Dawn of Forever, that past catches up with these two...

Jackson and Jillian are the two main characters, fraternal twins, competitive to a fault, yet would lay down their lives for one another...literally. Jackson, the tattooed with geeky glasses piano instructor has a kink for older ladies (not that forty is older). Jillian is a sex toy salesman, quirky and a certifiable badass. If anyone can pull off wearing red rain boots, panties and a tattered tank top to go get the mail in her senior citizen neighborhood, she does.

Secondary characters just add to the well-rounded full plot of Dawn of Forever. Listing them in itself is a spoiler so I'll refrain. Just be prepared for a series that follows more than one road travelled. We get the past. We get the present. Jackson and his love story. Jillian and hers...

With an impending shitstorm of epic proportions, we slide back and forth to scenes from the past so everything comes full circle in the end. The end... The last 15% of this book gutted me. The way Jewel E Ann writes got me so whole-heartedly invested in their story, everything is a sucker punch to the feels. Everything! I was sad. I was glad. I laughed. I cried. I'm not a crier and Lordy I cried that last 15%. And it hurt so good.... This author knows angst. She's the queen of softening us up with their endearing banter and humor then BAM- punching us with a dose of real life struggles. Nobody is immune in her books.

‘Love is reckless because true emotions are immune to logic. The most beautiful love stories are often the most tragic.’”

So be prepared, boys and girls- Dawn of Forever will push us forward quite a bit with suspense and some grit yet brings it all full circle with two epic love stories. Is it two? I guess this book has four... And I devoured every bit of each of them. I'm so happy with the ending but sad to say goodbye at the same time. An epic conclusion to the Jack & Jill series. Everything shines with this author for me and I look forward to more humor with a sucker-punch of angst in her future creations. I see a potential set up for a spin-off book of a certain amputee character. I'll get working on her...

Dawn of Forever is the third and final installment in the Jack & Jill series.
It cannot be read as a standalone and releases February 18, 2016.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Jewel is a free-spirited romance junkie with a quirky sense of humor.
With 10 years of flossing lectures under her belt, she took early retirement from her dental hygiene career to stay home with her three awesome boys and manage the family business.

After her best friend of nearly 30 years suggested a few books from the Contemporary Romance genre, Jewel was hooked. Devouring two and three books a week but still craving more, she decided to practice sustainable reading, AKA writing.

When she’s not donning her cape and saving the planet one tree at a time, she enjoys yoga with friends, good food with family, rock climbing with her kids, watching How I Met Your Mother reruns, and of course…heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, panty-scorching novels.
