The spotlight doesn't only shine. Sometimes it burns.

Being the bad-boy bassist for the world's hottest band has earned Griffin Hancock some perks: a big house, a fast car, and most importantly his incredible wife, Anna. The one thing it hasn't brought him is the spotlight. Anna tells him to be patient, that his talent will win out. But Griffin is through waiting for permission to shine.

Without warning, Griffin makes a shocking decision and takes the gamble of a lifetime. Suddenly he's caught up in a new level of lights, cameras, and chaos. One that pushes his relationship with Anna to its limits. Anna has always found his unpredictable behavior sexy, but lately he's seen an ache in her eyes--and it has his soul in knots. Just as the recognition Griffin seeks is finally within reach, the thing he loves most in life could be slipping through his fingers...

description

Griffin Hancock faces a crushing rise and fall while he learns some really important lessons. His monstrous cock ego takes a huge hit and he undergoes some major growth in this story. Griffin wants more of the spotlight. He wants a shot at the lead guitar position and he's just flat out tired of way he is being treated by the band. Matt is still on my shit list.

”The only thing that put a slight damper on the awesomeness of my life was my inferior position in the band.”

Griffin and Anna are a fantastic couple and their kids are too darn cute. Griffin decides it’s time for his star to rocket further and he takes his family to L.A. to pursue other opportunities. I was hurt right along with him during certain scenes. Of course readers will be delighted that his trademark sense of humor prevails through the whole story.

”Two hours later I had brown fucking hair. She’d chopped it too. It was longer than Matt’s, shorter than Kellan’s, somewhere in between like…Denny. Fuck. I looked like Denny now.”

I honestly related to his stubborn pride and refusal to be wrong even as things kept spiraling downward. His desire to fix things was well delivered. So go figure I connected with Griffin!

”I’d thrown my life away for an illusion.”

S.C. Stephens delivered a well written tale of humility for my second favorite D-Bag.
